By October 1999 work on the turret was completed. Here it is, inside the ABRO workshop, ready to be shipped back to the Tank Museum. Shiny paint was applied at this time to make it easier to clean. Let's look inside.... |

Looking down through the commander's cupola the quality of the work is obvious. All mechanisms on the glass vision blocks work, authentic wiring is in place and seats have been recovered in the correct material. |

Now we're looking at the rear of the turret inside with the big, round escape hatch to the left. Up top you have the main extractor fan, all working, then spare vision blocks and the various stowage bins. The original lettering was matched to a current range of European Letraset to preserve authenticity. More interior detail next time. |
